The Applied Consensus Technology Institute of Hong Kong (ACTI) is a NGO focused on the practical adoption of decentralization technology. The association combines insights from the brightest and most innovative developers from around the world to advise governments, financial institutions, and multi-national corporations on how to accelerate and integrate consensus technology into real world applications. ACTI will usher in a new era of innovation for the benefit of mankind

Michael Yeung
Co-Founder & President
– Angel Investor & Head of Asia of LayerTwo Labs: a Bitcoin scaling company
– 14 years of professional Bitcoin and blockchain experience, since 2011
– 2013: Founded world’s first Bitcoin university association in Canada. Worked with BitPay to have Simon Fraser University to be world’s first university to accept Bitcoin donations. Worked with Simon Fraser University to become world’s first institution to have Bitcoin ATMs on its grounds and to accept bitcoins for books, school supplies, and other services
– 2016 to 2017: Worked as head executive of a China’s State Owned blockchain R&D institute, the first of its type in China
– 2020 to 2022: worked as the head BD for a Hong Kong and Shenzhen based IPFS startup, invested by the Shenzhen Futian municipal government
Tyra Tao
Co-Founder
– Over a decade long and extensive experience in media and finance
– Served in presidential positions of two financial professional journalism companies
– Was a chairman of a Hong Kong listed financial company
Jolin Zhu
Co-Founder
– As the Co-founder of ACTI, Jolin is responsible for events and operations management, as well as government relations
-Over 8+ years event management and government relations experience
– Organized private and large scale events for major large corporations and government agencies
– Head of BD of a well-known cultural association
M Szejiung Yeung
– University of South Carolina graduate in Business Information Systems with a specialization in International Business
– 11 years of experience in Financial institutions, including roles at Bank of China, HSBC, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, UL-Trade, Hang Seng Bank, and Hong Kong Interbank Clearing.
– 5 years of experience in the Public Sector/Non-profit organizations, with engagements at Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hospital Authority, and Hong Kong Airport Authorities
– Since entering the Web3 space in 2017, worked with several companies, including 2 crypto exchanges, 1 DEFI project, 1 NFT project, a decentralized domain project, and a Gamefi project
